Sigil

Today’s word is going to be sigil, s-i-g-i-l. There are a couple definitions, all relatively important to growing your lexicon so be keen on informing yourselves of this word and what it means. Important because sigil affects each and everyone of you everyday. Here are the textbook definitions:

sig·il

 noun \ˈsi-jil\

sigil (pron.: /ˈsɪəl/; pl. sigilia or sigils; from Latin sigillum “seal”) is a symbol used in magic. The term has usually referred to a type of pictorial signature of a demon or other entity; in modern usage, especially in the context of chaos magic, it refers to a symbolic representation of the magician’s desired outcome.

And/Or…

In computer programming, a sigil (/ˈsɪəl/ or /ˈsɪɡəl/; plural sigilia or sigils) is a symbol attached to a variable name, showing the variable’s datatype or scope.

Coincidence?… Know your words, build your lexicon. Here is my definition as always: Sigils are all and any of the various and numerous methodologies by which others cast spells on one another. Those who have taken your power have greater power in their sigils, because you give it to them. That is why they control you. Take it upon yourselves to expand further on sigils and how they are used against you and how you use them against others. Knowledge is power.

And some images for your viewing pleasure. Side note… some common sigils you may be aware of can be found on Led Zeppelin album covers, each of the band members symbols, yeah, those are sigils. They are everywhere, that is nothing. It goes into the geometry of architecture, it is all around you. And it is always affecting you. Now you know. Stay informed. Love to all.
